Ambassador of Belarus to Belgium A.Mikhnevich meets General Director of the Royal Library of Belgium P.Lefèvre

On January 16, 2017 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Belgium Aleksandr Mikhnevich met with Director-General of the Royal Library of Belgium Patrick Lefèvre.

During the meeting the sides explored opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the two national libraries including joint thematic events, expert consultations on digitalization of the libraries’ stocks.

Interlocutors focused on organization in 2017 on the Albertine’s premises of a conference dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book-printing with participation of scientists, editors, writers of both countries. Possible concerts by a symphonic orchestra from Belarus in the Royal Library were also discussed.
