A concert of classical music dedicated to the Independence Day of Belarus was held at the Embassy

On June 30, 2022, the Embassy of Belarus in Belgium hosted a classical music concert dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

The renowned Belarusian pianist Timur Sergeyenia performed masterpieces of Mozart and Rachmaninoff, and finished the performance with his own interpretation of the famous Belarusian composition “Moy rodny kut” (My native land).

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in her address emphasized that 2022 was announced the Year of Historical Memory in Belarus and stressed particular importance of preserving this memory.

It was also mentioned that in 2022 Belarus marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps in Brussels, Belgian and European organizations, businesses and the Belarusian diaspora in Belgium attended the event.
