A reception  on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus held in Brussels on June 30, 2026.

The meeting brought together about 90 guests, including Belarusian diaspora, diplomatic corps, representatives of the Belgian public and charitable organizations, church, experts, and media representatives. 

In his welcoming speech, the Charge d'affaires of Belarus to Belgium emphasized the sustainable socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus, the peaceful nature of the Belarusian foreign policy, and openness to dialogue to restore peace and security in the region.

During the event, representatives of the Belgian organization «Tsjernobylkinderen vzw» were awarded badges “For merits in overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster” for their active participation in the Chernobyl sector, including the rehabilitation of Belarusian children.

The evening was decorated with an exhibition of paintings by talented Belarusian artist Elena Golubovich, who presented the painting “Bison” to the Embassy. Famous Belarusian cimbalom player, professor of the cimbalom department at Cité de la Musique et de la Danse in Strasbourg, Alexandra Denisenya performed excerpts from masterpieces of world musical culture.
