Ambassador A.Mikhnevich meets with Ambassador of Myanmar to Belgium Paw Lwin Sein

On November 10, 2017 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Belgium Aleksandr Mikhnevich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Belgium Paw Lwin Sein.
 
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current issues of the international agenda, and discussed the forthcoming multilateral events in the South Asian region.
 
Paw Lwin Sein also informed the Belarusian side about the current state of affairs in the state of Rakhine, the preconditions for the conflict situation with the Rohingya people, as well as the measures taken by the Government of Myanmar to resolve the crisis.
 
A.Mikhnevich noted that the Belarusian side is deeply concerned about the situation associated with the escalation of violence in Myanmar, as well as expressed the hope for an early settlement of the problem in the state of Rakhine. The Ambassador of Belarus also noted that the forthcoming discussion of the problem at international venues and the possible application by the Government of Myanmar of the experience of other states in this field could have a positive impact on the process of establishing peace and order in Myanmar.
