4th Round of Belarus – EU Sectoral Dialogue on Economy and Finance takes place in Brussels

On 24 February 2015, the 4th Round of Belarus – EU Sectoral Dialogue on Economy and Finance took place in Brussels. The meeting was co-steered on the Belarusian sideby Mr Maksim Ermolovich, First Deputy Finance Minister, and Mr Anton Kudasov, Deputy Minister of Economy (on the Belarusian side) and Mr Peter Beckx, Director for International economic and financial relations, global governance at the DG ECFIN (on the European Commission side).

The delegations exchanged views on the current economic situation in Belarus and the EU, shared plans to stimulate growth, investment and international trade. They also discussed the functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The 1st Round of the Dialogue took place in October 2011 in Minsk. The dialogue operates as a channel for exchange of information on developments in economy and financial sector possibly leading to joint cooperation recommendations.
