On the International Christmas Singing Competition

From 10 to 17 December 2014 in Minsk the 1st Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition is organized by the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus. The competition will be held as part of the theatre’s grand cultural project, the Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum, which traditionally culminates the seasons in the capital city.

The program of the forum is always comprised of the theatre’s premiere performances. In the different years, its list of participants included famous opera companies from Russia, Latvia and Bulgaria renowned opera singers, conductors and directors; among the honorary guests of the forum one could find general managers of foreign opera houses and impesarios.

This year the names of the members of expert international jury comprising managers of major opera houses and festivals will be added to the list of the celebrated guests.

The 1st Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition invites opera talents from different countries. Necessary information can be found at www.bolshoibelarus.by.
