Permanent Representative of Belarus to the EU A.Mikhnevich takes part in the New year reception in the European Parliament

On January 8, 2019 Permanent Representative of Belarus to the EU Aleksandr Mikhnevich took part in the New year reception in the European Parliament (EP). During the event he met with the President of the EP Antonio Tajani. Interlocutors discussed some issues of bilateral relations with the European legislative authority. They agreed to continue dialogue on topics of mutual interest including the participation of Belarus in the upcoming events of European Parliament commemorating the Holocaust Remembrance Day.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day was established by United Nations General Assembly on November 1, 2005 (resolution 60/7). This day is annually commemorated in the European Union on January 27. European Parliament traditionally times memorial events to this date.
