Embassy of Belarus in Belgium holds seminar for business community

On 3 April 2014, the Embassy of Belarus in Belgium hosted a seminar on trade and economic cooperation for the European business circles. Mr. A.Yeudachenka, the Ambassador of Belarus in Belgium, delivered a presentation on the current economic situation in Belarus, the prospects of development of the economy of Belarus and country’s cooperation with the European Union and its member states.

Mr. K. Van Hoorebeke, the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Ghent, Chairman of the Flemish Chamber of Trade and Commerce for the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, and Mr. J. Wilson, the Director of the Belarus EU Business Council, informed the participants of the seminar about the plans of their organisations with regard to cooperation with Belarus in 2014. Mr. N. Tananaiko, the Director of Regional Representative Office in Benelux, made a report on the development of aviation connections with the European countries and the spectrum of transport services offered by the company.

Presentation of the China-Belarus Industrial Park was made during the event. The guests were provided with an overview of the hotel infrastructure development in a run-up to the World Ice Hockey Championship were presented. The Ambassador and the staff of the Mission answered the questions of the participants of the seminar regarding practical aspects of establishing and development of trade and economic cooperation with Belarus.
The seminar was attended by about 30 representatives of business communities of Belgium, Luxemburg, France and Germany.
